Past few weeks have been quite cold here in Toronto and a nice coffee in your hands makes the journey bearable, if not pleasurable. On two of the colder days I had to journey along Queen St. West and decided to grab a coffee for my walk, once from Lettieri and the other from I Deal Coffee (in Black Dog Video). Both times I asked for it to go and at both locations I was given my coffee in a styrofoam cup!
Styrofoam!? I thought of all places Queen West coffee shops would be hep to the jive.
With extremely competitive pricing and a vast variety of “ecocups” available in the market there is no reason why coffee shops should still be using styrofoam, none at all!
Instead of trying to school your friendly barista, here are a few links you can send along with an email to the owners of these shops letting them know of your utter disappointment in their business practice.
